Today was a good day as usual. Had a good time reading psalms – I find that the Psalms have a way of reminding us of God’s majesty, God’s power and God’s love. It also shows our weakness and how tough life can be atimes. In Psalm 44:23, the Psalmist is asking God to wake up from sleep. Well that is how we feel sometimes. It’s like God is sleeping and refuses to hear us, because we are focused only on the things we want from God. To tell the truth, if you are in serious distress, you mind will be on it but our God cares about us. He is not asleep, He does not sleep. In Ps 46:1 we read that God is our refuge, even if the mountains tremble we would not be afraid.
If you feel like saying to God – Wake up, help me, don’t leave me alone like this. You are not alone. In fact you can read Psalm 44 out loud but don’t stop in Ps 44. Read on through to Psalm 46. The Lord is our strength and our refuge. Our God CANNOT FAIL.
I spent most of the day in the office, working on my plans for March, making calls to recent visitors to the church, responding to emails, and blogging. I also added a link to help people recommend pages from the afropages.ca website. I also restored my Motivational books website. Demi was in the office with me this evening after he got back from daycare at 6.00pm. The boy is growing and becoming more aware of the things around him. I praise God for giving us such a happy child.
I wrote an article on finding a good spouse today. If you plan to get married someday, please read this blog. Who knows, you may pick up a few tips that will help you on your way.
I also spend the last few hours putting together an old computer to use at home. For some reasonsm both of my laptops decided to pack up at the same time. The goodnews is that I am typing this on the old computer I just revived. Praise God for the skills to do it.
We were supposed to have a mini-retreat tomorrow, but the notice was to short so I think we would have it next 2 weeks. I think most of the day tomorrow would be spent working on my final papers for school.
Well that’s the update for now. Have fun.
