Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action has arrived, stop thinking and go in

napoleon bonaparte quote

It is a good idea to plan properly before taking action, however it can be a problem if you keep planning and planning and never really take action. There is always a time to plan, there is also a time to step out and adjust your plan as you go on. If you have an idea, do a study on the feasibility of your idea and set a date to execute your plan. Work hard not to change your plan, if you need to move the date once or twice it’s not the end of the world but I would suggest that you do something on the date you set. Don’t choose any arbitrary date. Make sure the date is feasible then work as hard as you can! This is one key to having a great life.

I remember my first website design project! I got it by placing an ad in the newspaper even though I had never designed any website for anyone except mine. When I got the first contract I gave them a date by which it will be done! I worked really hard, slept few hours, learned a lot of things! I delivered the website! The clients loved it and I was in business!

Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action has arrived, stop thinking and go in. – Napoleon Bonaparte

Take Action – Set a date today and work hard to meet that date! I am setting a date today for my first Webinar on this blog! (Turn your dreams into Reality)  It’s on Wednesday Oct 2, 2013 . Reserve your seat now!

  1. Wow Did you get this one right! Action my friend Action! When I first got online a few years back i thought I had to learn everything before implementing Anything! An dyou know hat happened? Nothing! Great Article It is always a good idea to have a plan but one that consists of taking action>> Thanks for sharing Chery 🙂

  2. Yes.. overthinking can prevent you for taking action, well said By Napoleon Hill! Besides, by jumping in you learn so much more, grow more, attract new opportunitie to you that can be really amazing.. so just do it …

  3. It’s always easier, Ade, to make excuses than to take action on making our dreams a reality.

You’ve listed some of the more common excuses people make for their failures, and I think we’ve all used them… I know I have.

After all, people are not really “failures”, nor are they “successes”. But every successful person has suffered many failures, often as a result of leaning on excuses like these. And every “failure” has had many successes, but may choose, instead, to focus on his failures… and may be regarded by others for his failures.

But every day each of us succeeds at some things, and fail at others. The more consistent action we take, the more likely we are, on balance, to have more success than failure.
